Silicone in Construction

Silicone oil in the construction field is mainly used for waterproof and antifouling of glass fiber materials, with excellent waterproof performance. After silicone oil treatment, the wind erosion resistance and hydrophobicity of building materials can be improved. Adding 0.1% to 0.15% (mass fraction) or silicone oil lotion with higher solid content into the mortar can show the above characteristics and improve the workability and fluidity of the mortar. Asbestos, cement, gypsum board, etc. can also be treated with silicone oil.
